Role
DESIGN
BA House embodies a design approach, where stone walls follow the natural slope of the land, defining garden borders and transitions. These stone walls blur the boundaries, seamlessly integrating the structure within the plot, while discreetly concealing it from the surrounding environment. This design ensures that the house does not disrupt the views of its neighbors and creates its own captivating interior vistas. Deliberately continuing on the land's slope, the stone walls establish distinct areas within the front, back, and side gardens, encompassing the awe-inspiring mountain view in the front and crafting unique perspectives in the inner and side gardens. House features two entrances. At the front, a stone wall spiral guides to the vehicle entrance and parking garage and a pedestrian entrance, reached by stairs, leads to the upper gardens. On the less frequented side road, another pedestrian entrance opens to the backyard at the top level.
Inside, the basement hosts a multi-purpose room, granting access to the ground floor. The ground floor designed as an open space with kitchen, dining, and living areas, offering maximum exposure to the mountain view. Nestled at the back, a bedroom and a storage room frames an inner garden, enveloping the backyard. The upper floor features two bedrooms, seemingly a single-story structure set on the slope. From these rooms, the upper garden is easily accessible, creating a variety of garden usage scenarios across all levels.
